METABOLOMICS CENTER

The Metabolomics Center integrates the Metabolomics Core of National Taiwan University College of Medicine and the VOCs Analysis Laboratory of National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University. It provides comprehensive microbiome and metabolome analysis services and collaborates with each center to develop novel metabolome analysis techniques tailored to their needs. This platform can be adapted to the evolving needs of the biomedical industry, allowing for timely adjustments to the scope of analysis services.

The multifaceted development in metabolomics analysis enables the rapid prediction of bacterial strains and communities. This capability can assist in increasing the value of health-related products in the market and contribute to medical research by conducting microbiome-related metabolic analyses, allowing a better understanding of disease associations and etiology. It can also lead to the proposal of new standard testing and treatment protocols, ultimately elevating Taiwan's healthcare standards and safeguarding the health of its citizens.

Whether it's early-stage research exploration or confirmation of the therapeutic effects of microbiome implantation in later stages, the Metabolomics Center plays a crucial role. Anticipating a growing number of analysis cases in the future, coupled with variations in specimen and analyte characteristics, we have established testing units at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University's Hsinchu campus and National Taiwan University. This allows us to distribute cases to the most suitable testing unit based on specimen and analyte characteristics, thereby enhancing overall efficiency in case handling.
