ANIMAL MODEL CENTER

The research team at National Taiwan University Hospital has successfully established a model of human gut microbiota in mice and has developed a platform for microbial colonization in rodents. They have also introduced two types of equipment, soft isolation chambers and sterile isolation cages (ISOcage P), to establish the first cost-effective and independent sterile rodent facility in Taiwan.

National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University's core facilities will provide diverse services for analyzing intestinal barrier functions, intestinal and hepatic immune system analysis. These services will include various animal surgeries and appropriate analytical techniques to measure the effectiveness of management and treatment. They will also offer standardized and customized packages for the evaluation of microbial profiles, drug safety, and efficacy.
